LYNN HERSHMAN LEESON AND THE De Young Museum

Well-known filmmaker and photographer Lynn Hershman Leeson produced this conceptual art exhibit, "No Body Special," for The De Young Museum of San Francisco. I had the opportunity to work with Ms. Hershman Leeson for this exhibit. I created four replicas of this 1965 Jean Patou red patent leather coat. I drafted and graded the pattern, sourced the fabric and buttons, and stitched the garments. Lynn then photographed the coats on models in urban settings throughout San Francisco. The exhibition was on display, including the garments and patterns, at the De Young Museum in early 2008.
